We hope you will join us as a learner, partner or funder working together to create an environmentally ready society. Each of our participants has a critical role to play in creating the life-changing and motivational experiences needed to achieve this vision. Get environmentally ready with us. Together we can build a resilient and vibrant North Bay.

Visit Preserves

Visit the SSU Preserves by submitting an on-line reservation. Bring your own class, group or retreat. We encourage visits from anyone engaged in research, creative inquiry or education. Please note that an approved reservation is required before entry, and regulations & safety policies must be followed by all members of your group. Please also join us at the preserves as part of classes offered each spring and fall.

Find Out More: Visit Preserves, Workshops & Field Trips, Calendar of Events, or contact Suzanne DeCoursey, Education Manager, for a pre-visit tour.

Partner

Partner with us to get faculty and students engaged in your real-world challenge. Join us on one project or be part of a multi-organizational partnership surrounding water, fire or technology. The goals of these partnerships are to train a workforce with needed skills, help partners move towards sustainable and resilient solutions, and enhance public understanding of our reliance on natural systems.

Our programs focus on human-environment interactions, learning and applying new skills, and working with SSU professors and other experts. We offer trainings, workshops and elementary school programs for people of all ages and backgrounds. SSU students can find paid and unpaid internships & extra credit.
