Volunteers Needed! Join this hands-on opportunity to contribute to wildfire safety and learn more about good fire.

Create burn piles for future burning and learn about good fire. Consolidation activities will include hiking, collecting, cutting and piling downed wood. Contribute to wildfire mitigation in a wildland area, learn about good fire and how to mitigate catastrophic wildfires, support local preserves and universities. You will be collecting downed wood and organizing it into burn piles for future burning (hiking, carrying and organizing wood, such as sticks, branches, etc., and cutting it to fit into the burn piles). You will also get to learn about good fire!

Logistics
You will be asked to sign a waiver upon your arrival. All children and minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian or a group leader who can legally take on that role (e.g., Girl Scout group). No pets or smoking permitted.
