Eco Edge
Eco Edge helps land managers develop solutions to complex ecosystem challenges while training a workforce with experience working collaboratively to find solutions. SSU preserves and gardens are living laboratories, sites where students of all ages, backgrounds and disciplines study human-environment interactions. Each SSU site (Galbreath Wildlands Preserve, Fairfield Osborn Preserve, Los Guilicos Preserve, and Stocking Native Plant Garden) presents unique challenges and opportunities arising from the interplay of social, economic and environmental factors. CEI staff open up these challenges, bringing them to students and faculty across campus to assist in finding viable solutions.
Eco Edge is one of four CEI Education into Action programs that focus on meaningfully improving sustainability and resilience challenges of the North Bay. Because these programs are made possible through contracts and donations, we encourage you to consider supporting this effort.
