Dig into Nature Events

CEI's Dig into Nature public events teach you ways to study local landscapes alongside SSU faculty, students and other experts from a wide variety of disciplines and perspectives. Most offerings are on weekends and free of charge. All are welcome. Minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian. Internships & Extra Credit may be available for SSU students. Themes include: 

  • Building Resilience - Discussions to foster climate resilience collaboration
  • Forest Futures - Professional talks highlighting the variety of careers and approaches in forestry
  • Deep Dives - Lectures and panels with experts
  • Learn with a Naturalist - Informal chats and fun outdoors
  • Live from the Field - Conversations with field researchers worldwide
  • Local Nature - Live presentations with your own nature explorations close to home
  • Naturalist Ed Series - Hikes with local experts and naturalists
