Seawolves Dig In Campus Beautification Volunteer Day!
SSU Main Campus Butterfly Garden

Join SSU students, staff, faculty and community members for this 4th annual campus beautification event to plant trees and native plants, remove weeds, do sustainable gardening, support biodiversity efforts and learn about the valuable educational, research and restoration work taking place on campus. One of the projects will be in the Stocking Native Plant and Butterfly Garden to support biodiversity efforts, and everyone is welcome!

This event is free of charge! Registration is appreciated.
No previous experience or knowledge is required to participate.
Check-in at the Wine Spectator Learning Center starting at 9am. You will be assigned a team at check-in, and we will do our best to assign you to one of your preferred tasks! After check-in, we will have a quick briefing where you will receive project and safety instructions from our Facilities team, take a group photo, and then we will be off to “dig”!
This event is supported by SSU Facilities Management, Academic Affairs, and the President’s Sustainability Advisory Council (PSAC).

What to Bring
In the support of health and safety, we suggest you prepare for the day’s event in the following ways:
Bring a refillable water bottle
Wear long pants
Wear closed toe shoes (requirement)
Wear sunscreen
Wear sunglasses
Bring a hat (Bonus points if it’s a Sustainable SSU Hat from past events!
Bring gardening/work gloves &/or knee pads, if you have them
There is a restroom and potable water available at various places across campus.
