Virtual reality software for water education
It has been demonstrated scientifically that students tend to learn more in a virtual reality setting as opposed to a class setting. This project represented rainfall visualization at the Osborn Preserves in a mobile virtual reality setting. The purpose of this project is for the user to learn statistical data about when it starts to rain on a sunny day. The user sees a sunny day with the creek at the Osborn Preserves then shortly after, rainfall with statistics of wind speed showing how the creek appears as rain hits. The tutorial ends back on a sunny day portraying animals. Designed to not be any longer than twenty minutes, the tutorial explains to the user precisely what they are viewing. This is designed to help the user see what the Osborn preserves is like in multiple settings without having to visit if it is inconvenient.
