Using Freeware to Map Water Resources for People Experiencing Homelessness
Rising Waters Question 1: Leveraging HFOSS to Map Water Resources
Abstract
Continue development of the resource mapping tool begun in Year 1 of the Rising Waters collaborative, addressing water resource needs for people experiencing homelessness and how that interacts with water quality. Team 1 previously developed a QGIS-based solution. We explore HFOSS (Humanitarian Free and Open Source Software) data mapping and crowd-sourcing capabilities to support community water resource mapping.
