Welcome to Copeland Creek Trail Educational Activities

Welcome! We are glad you are exploring the activities along the Copeland Creek trail through the SSU campus.

Using the QR codes on the 12 posts placed along the trail, you can engage in activities involving Physical Fitness, Mental Well-Being, Water, and the Natural History of the Copeland Creek Corridor and the region. The signs are installed along the Copeland Creek Trail from Rancho Cotate High School at Snyder Lane through the Sonoma State Campus to the east.

This project was made possible thanks to a T-Mobile Hometown Grant

The content found via the QR codes is the result of a collaborative effort involving multiple SSU departments, including Kinesiology, Psychology, Biology, Geology, Cinematic Arts, Communication & Media, Geography and Environment and Planning, and Business. It also involved SSU Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS), SSU Student Health Center (SHC), more than a dozen SSU students, and the Center for Environmental Inquiry (CEI). It inspired projects by students in Electrical Engineering, Cultural Hertitage & Resource Management, Art Department. SSU Facilities Management was integral to the success of the project.
